The highest point in the race is less than 100 feet in elevation with no real hills and we finish at the beach. Our course runs from the Ventura Pier to the Port Hueneme Pier and back. Pier Into The Future Logo Since it's original construction in 1872, the Ventura Pier has stood as a symbol of the region's rich history and natural resources. Today the Pier is a favorite attraction for fishing, picnics, sunset strolls and beautiful views of Ventura Country's coastline and the Channel Islands. Community leaders established Pier into the Future, a non-profit, to establish a $1 million endowment fund to preserve and enhance this treasured resource for future generations to enjoy. Since reaching their goal in 2007, Pier into the Future has provided over $500,000 to the City of Ventura to fund Pier repairs and enhancements. Their signature fundraising event is Pier Under the Stars- Ventura's premier food and wine tasting event held the first Saturday in October. www.pierintothefuture.org

Devil Dash 5KDevil Dash 5K Date: October 19th (Date Tentative) Race Location: Golden Spike Event Center 1000 North 1200 West Ogden, UT 844 Course Distance: 3.2 Devilish Miles Race Day Registration will be available from 8:00am - 11:30am - $69.00 The Devil is in the details. Here is what you need to know. What to bring: ID - packets will not be given out without proper ID (no exceptions).Waiver - click here to print it out and sign (waivers will be available as well onsite but this will save you time)Cash for Beer Food Devil Dash Attire.Appropriate footwear (running sneakers recommended). You will get muddy & bloody. So don't wear anything you don't want getting dirty.Costumes highly encouraged.Devilish Dare but an angelic attitude.A towel and an extra change of clothes & shoes is highly recommended.A camera for taking photos in the Beer Garden of Eden at the "The Devil Made Me Do It" photo op area. What not to bring: No pets please. There is fire, mud and loud music and lots of racers. Not a place for dogs, cats or chickens. No glass containers. And no outside alcoholic beverages or food items are permitted. Free Parking: Free onsite parking. Follow directions to the Golden Spike Events Center. Click Here. Packet pick-up: Packet pick-up will be available on site, beginning (8am) one hour prior to the first wave of the day. Your packet includes your race bib with safety pins, your chip timing device, your t-shirt and your Hoo-Rag. We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes to one hour prior to your wave time. Remember that you will have to park, pick up your packet, attach your bib and chip, and make your way to the starting line. If you want to pick up you your friends packet you will need to bring a copy of their photo ID, a signed letter from them stating that you are allowed to pick up their packet and a signed copy of their participant waiver. No exceptions will be made if you don't have these 3 things. Wave Times: (Waves are from 9:00am-12:30pm) - Refer to your registration email or online invoice to reference your wave start time. Gear Check: Gear Check will be open from 8:00am – 3:00pm. You will only be able to check your gear once (using the Gear Check tear off tag on your racer bib). Aid Stations: During the race, there will be two water & medical aid stations on the race course. Beer Garden of Eden: Once you finish the race, the Beer Garden of Eden awaits. After the race, each Devil (or Angel) will receive one free beer*. Additional beer and food items will be available for purchase. Remember, no outside food or drinks will be allowed! Security will be enforcing the area. *One beer is included for each participant who is of legal age to consume alcohol. Please be responsible - do not drink and drive. Race Day Photos: Zazoosh Photographers will be throughout the course taking photos available for purchase post-race. There will also be a "The Devil Made Me Do It" photo station in the beer garden for you to take your own photos in front of. Additional information about where to purchase photos will be available post-race. Finish Line: Once you finish in Heaven, you will need to turn in your timing chip (unreturned timing chips result in a $30 fee); then you will get a finishers medal and your free Beer ticket. Cleanse Your Sins: There will be outdoor showers post race. Please see the list of what to bring to help you clean up! All racers riding the Shuttle Bus need to be cleaned off. The race starts along the ocean and ends again with a spectacular view of the ocean. The course is flat and fast and is walker friendly. The Rockaway Series is based in Rockaway Beach, NY and for the most part holds events on the beautiful boardwalk in Rockaway Beach near the Beach 95th St & Boardwalk entrance. Some of the events also use the Connolly's Bar nearby at 155 Beach 95th St as a pre-race distribution point and post-race awards and party. Hagg Hybrid Marathon &amp; RelayHagg Hybrid Marathon & Relay Race Date October 13,2012 The first leg does the road, second leg does the trail. Leg 1 The first leg of the relay will line up with all or our marathon contestants and run the exact course of the first loop of the Marathon Course. As you approach the exchange, your teammate will be able to see you coming with plenty of time to get in place and take the hand-off from you. Congratulations Leg 1, you can relax knowing you are done and your partner is just starting their race. Leg 2 After getting the hand off, Leg 2 will head straight for the trail. Runners will head out on their journey by hopping onto the singletrack trail that runs just over 14 miles around the lake. They will continue to run counter clockwise and will be directed by our great volunteers. Once they finish the trail section, its just a quick run through the chute, with your teammate if you wish! *The trail does merge occasionally with the road forcing leg 2 to log a few highway miles. Escalante Canyons Marathon &amp; 10MilerEscalante Canyons Marathon & 10Miler Race Date October 13,2012 GENERAL RACE INFORMATION The MarathonThis race starts near Hell’s Backbone Grill in Boulder, Utah (elev. 6644 feet). The entire course is on Scenic Byway 12. The course runs in a southwest direction and is mostly downhill until Mile 12, where the road crosses the Escalante River (elev. 5275). It then turns northwest and is mostly uphill until Mile 18 (elev. 6200). From Mile 18 on, the course is a gradual westward descent to the finish line in Escalante, Utah (elev. 5812 feet). You can view the course map and elevation profile on the USATF website, using the following link: http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=493426. You can also search for the Escalante Canyons Marathon route by going to http://www.usatf.org/routes/search and looking for routes in Escalante, Utah under America’s Running Routes. Both sides of Byway 12 will be closed for the first hour of the marathon. After that, the westbound lane of the road will remain closed, and all runners will complete the course on the right-hand side of the road. The course will include up to 16 aid stations, spaced at roughly 2-mile intervals on the downhill portions of the course, and at 1-mile intervals on the uphill portions of the course. All aid stations will offer water, and selected aid stations will offer energy drinks, energy gels, and fruit. Course highlights include the mile-long Hogsback, where the road runs along a rock spine that drops off precipitously on both sides, the rock canyons near Calf Creek Falls, the extraordinary S-curve that announces the longest uphill stretch, the Boynton and Head of the Rocks scenic overlooks, No matter where you are on the course, though, you will enjoy unparalleled UT
Under Armour Baltimore Running FestivalUnder Armour Baltimore Running Festival Race Date October 13,2012 The fair yet challenging course travels through the many diverse neighborhoods including the scenic Inner Harbor waterfront area, historic Federal Hill and charming Fells Point. The loop around Lake Montebello will also remain giving runners flat terrain near mile 21. The half-marathon will again start at the 13-mile mark of the marathon course, but as it has done in the past, it will split after 2/10 mile (half-marathoners will have their own lane to that point) and will rejoin the marathon route later in the race. The separation between the marathon and half-marathon courses alleviates much of the congestion at the merge point and make for a smoother transition. Lakefront MarathonLakefront Marathon Race Date October 7,2012 •The Course: The Lakefront Marathon is a USAT&F Certified Course that starts at Grafton High School (about one mile west of I-43). This flat and scenic point-to-point course travels south through rural countryside, quiet Northshore neighborhoods and finishes along the shores of Lake Michigan north of the Milwaukee Art Museum at Veterans Park. The Lakefront Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying course (and if you qualify at Lakefront you would be eligible to use that time for the next two runnings of the Boston Marathon).
